Samples are representations of a product’s typical appearance and may not be representative of actual size and shape. For solid-shape tiles under 6" to 8", samples include a single piece of tile whenever possible. For larger tiles, samples include a portion of a full tile. Due to variations in natural materials and tile production, the final product may differ.

Q: What should I do once I receive my tile samples?

First, bring your sample into the space where it’s going to be used. For example, bring a bathroom tile sample into your bathroom, and think about how it fits with the overall style of the space you’re trying to create. Check back often so you can see how your samples look throughout the day under different types of light. Next, see how a sample looks with other elements in the room: If you have ordered backsplash tile samples, how do they look paired with your cabinets and counters? Place floor tile samples on the ground, and see if you like how they look with your baseboards, door frames and more. Consider whether your wall tile samples will work with your existing paint colors, or if you should test swatches of wall paint before completing your tile purchase.

Is there a maximum number of tile samples I can order?

Accepted Answer

There is a maximum of 15 samples per order. If you wish to purchase more than 15 samples, you will need to place multiple orders. There is no limit on the number of samples you may order altogether.

While you can purchase up to 15 samples per order, too many options can make the selection process more difficult. For the best experience choosing tile for your project, we generally recommend limiting yourself to 2 to 5 options at a time.

What else should I know before purchasing tile?

The product you are purchasing is either a natural stone product quarried and cut from stone quarries, clay tile, or other tile product processed and manufactured to achieve certain effects of color and texture.

You understand and agree that stone is a natural product subject to variations in size, color, shade, veining, texture and polish. These variations are what make natural stone unique.

All stone samples are provided by the manufacturer and are intended to convey the characteristics of a certain type of stone, but variations will occur.

You understand that the product&rsquo;s conformity to a sample is not assured and is not the basis of the Sales Agreement.

Although manufactured and processed tiles may be more uniform, they can also have variations in color and texture. In addition, the color of any sample may display differently when large amounts of the color are visible.

Where sales taxes are applicable, all orders are subject to the taxes in the location where the customer picks up/receives the order.
