General Information
- Returns can be made for an active* product in original packaging (full box quantities) and in good sellable condition within ninety (90) days of pickup or shipment date.
- Effective 8/1/26: Returned materials are subject to a 15% restocking fee for all customers except for active Diamond Pro account holders.
- Full-size tile samples purchased in-store are refundable. Swatch samples purchased on tileshop.com are non-refundable.
- The Tile Shop offers products made from natural stone (cut from a quarry), clay, and other manufactured materials designed to achieve distinct colors and textures.
- Natural stone is subject to variations in size, color, shade, veining, texture, and finish. These characteristics are inherent to the material and part of what makes each piece unique. Samples are provided to represent the general characteristics of the stone, but variation is expected and exact matches are not guaranteed.
- Manufactured tile products may offer greater consistency, but variations in color and texture can still occur. Sample colors may differ from current inventory.
- Product coverage estimates are approximate and specifications are not guaranteed.
- Special order, discontinued, and clearance materials, as well as shipping & handling charges, are non-returnable. Special order deposits are forfeited after 24 hours. Inspect all materials upon receipt. Please contact your store with any concerns and reference any damaged material on the delivery receipt or pick slip. Buyers and project owners must inspect product before install. Installation of product constitutes acceptance of material.
*An active product is defined as any SKU that is not discontinued in our system, not a Special Order item, and not a freight charge.
Inspections
- Buyer or Buyer’s representative must inspect material upon receipt and promptly contact their store with any concerns and/or damages as well as noting damages on Proof of Delivery receipt.
- If submitting a damage claim, Buyer must give The Tile Shop sufficient time after notification to inspect for damage.
- The product is to be kept secure until inspected.
Return Eligibility & Conditions
- If Buyer is dissatisfied with the product for any reason, they are to notify a Tile Shop representative to arrange for the materials to be returned.
- Products must be returned in the same unit of measure as purchased (E.G., pallet, box, or each). Field tile must be returned in original packaging and in full-box quantities only, unless purchased as a sample as indicated on the sales receipt.
- Liquid and powder products must remain unopened and in good sellable condition to be eligible for return.
- Installation of product constitutes acceptance of material. Once installed, Buyer accepts the product without recourse, and no returns will be offered.
- Returns are not permitted for Special Order material, discontinued material, or samples.
- Delivery, freight, and shipping & handling fees are nonrefundable.
- The Buyer is only eligible for a full refund for returned materials as detailed above within ninety (90) days of pickup or shipment date.
Refunds
- All refunds will be issued to the bill-to party name on the original invoice.
- Cash (under $10): Cash will be given for refunds of cash or debit purchases under $10.
- Cash ($10 and over) and check: A refund check will be processed and sent to the customer at the address on the invoice in 10–14 days. If a check is used, please allow 3–4 business days for the check to clear before a refund may be processed.
- Credit and Tile Shop gift cards: All refunds will be processed to the same credit card used for the original purchase. Customer must present the original card to receive a refund.
- Third-party gift cards: The Tile Shop cannot process refunds onto third-party gift cards of any type, including those offered by major credit card providers. In the event a third-party gift card was used for the original purchase, a refund will be issued in the form of a Tile Shop gift card.
Exchanges
- Exchanges are welcome and subject to the same specifications as our Return Policy.
Cancellations – Store & Online Orders
- The Buyer may call a Tile Shop sales representative or visit a local store to cancel an order or any part of an order that has not yet been received by the Buyer.
- With the exception of Special Order products, orders cancelled prior to shipping will never assess a penalty.
- Deposits on Special Order products are refundable only within 24 hours of the order being placed. Any cancellations after 24 hours forfeit the full deposit. Net30 accounts will be billed 50% of full order if cancelled after 24 hours.
- If uncertain who is handling your order since placed online, please contact customer service at 888-398-6595 for assistance in cancelling your order.
- Once an order is processed to ship or has shipped, it may be cancelled, but applicable freight fees will still apply. If an order has shipped before cancellation, additional fees may be determined.
Warranty
- The Tile Shop offers a 25-year system warranty for projects completed in accordance with the Tile Council of North America (TCNA) standards and using only Tile Shop products for preparation, installation and maintenance. No product warranties, expressed or implied, are offered for purchases installed using Tile Shop products in part.
